Пізнавальна: знайомство з особливостями святкування Днем Миру та розуміння його сутності

Розвиваюча: розвивання навичок до логічного формулювання та вираження своїх думок, формування висновків

Виховна: формування критичного відношення до дійсності, сучасного світу, його стереотипів. Вміння аналізувати, давати оцінку вчинкам та подіям

Навчальна: вдосконалення мовленнєвих навичок, розвиток навичок аудіювання, говоріння, письма, читання

Обладнання: інформаційні листівки із даними про День Миру, важливими датами, вправами та вокабуляром щодо всього матеріалу уроку

Teacher: «Our topic today is the day which is called The Day of Peace. Have you ever heard about it? September 21 is the International Day of Peace and UNESCO has joined hands with other UN entities, International Organizations and Civil Society to strengthen actions towards achieving peace in the world. Founded in 1953, the UNESCO Associated Schools Project Network (ASPnet), commonly referred to as UNESCO Associated Schools, is a global network of more than 8.500 educational institutions in 180 countries. We, as a Member institution, work in support of international understanding, peace, intercultural dialogue, sustainable development and quality education in practice. That is why it is important for us to know and to take part in the celebration of the Peace Day”

Учні знайомляться із інформацією, що надрукована на листівках, що є в кожного.

У ході уроку вони спілкуються між собою та із вчителем висловлюючи свою позицію щодо свого розуміння Миру, слів відомої пісні(подано), висловів відомих людей. У ході уроку учні коментують поданий матеріал спираючись на власний досвід, виконують завдання лексичного характеру та висловлюють свою думку на тему «чи вважаю я себе миролюбивою людиною» використовуючи нову лексику.

There are many ways to promote peace in the world but perhaps the best way is to promote it within ourselves. Peace is a gradual and wonderful event that occurs because compassionate people are inspired to help others discover the joy of peace! Helping others also has the direct effect of increasing our personal peace and well-being, but this is merely one of the many bonuses that come from sharing our kindness with our fellow human beings. It is better to give than to receive

Peace, like reading, writing, mathematics, drawing, emotional intelligence and enlightenment (”understanding/comprehension/compassion/meditation/intuition”), are learned skills that improve our knowledge, maturity, health, happiness and longevity. Peace is probably the most important lesson we should learn during our lives and the sooner the better. The advent of the world wide web may just provide the boost in knowledge & peace humankind has been waiting for. Improved communication may be the difference between extiction and survival. Through knowledge, Peace will evolve. Knowledge is power. Knowledge combined with enlightenment leads to wisdom. Wisdom is Peace!

 Tuesday, September , 1982, was the first occurrence of the International Day of Peace.

 2001 In 2001, the day was changed from the third Tuesday to specifically the twenty-first day of September.In

 2002 the General Assembly officially declared September 21 as the permanent date for the International Day of Peace

Instead of spreading love we’re spreading animosity

Lack of understanding, leading lives away from unity

Everybody respects educated people who have reached a lot. Those people are examples for us as they have the wisdom and the experience. These are some quotes. Which do you find the most apt turn of phrase ?
